Our platform is dedicated to promoting Democratic Citizenship in Lebanon by showcasing the transformative projects of schoolteachers who have embraced this mission as true heroes of change. Rooted in a society where confessionalism often shapes individual and communal identities, these educators have taken the skills and principles gained through our specialized training to inspire and lead change in their classrooms and communities. By equipping their students with the values of democratic citizenship and fostering an understanding of the rightful place of religion within social and civic life, they are paving the way for a more inclusive and democratic Lebanon.
This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Faculty of Religious Studies at Saint Joseph University (USJ) and Danmission, reflecting a shared commitment to empowering educators as agents of change. Open to all, our platform serves as both a repository of these exceptional projects and a tribute to the dedication and vision of the teachers who are shaping a brighter future for the country.
